CELEBRATING 125 YEARS CWU, founded in 1891, celebrates 125 years of history, memories and life-changing education. You now join the CWU family as students and parents. It is now your chance to immerse yourself in CWU s rich traditions. STUDENT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION The Student Alumni Association (SAA) is a group committed to celebrating the spirit and tradition of the Wildcat community. SAA offers exclusive benefits to members including a commemorative membership t-shirt. SAA collaborates to host events throughout the year with an emphasis on professional development, as well as school pride. Visit the SAA table between 7:00-10:00 a.m. on day one to learn more and join! BE A WILDCAT TRADITIONS KEEPER As a part of the 125th anniversary, CWU is celebrating with the introduction of Wildcat Traditions Keepers. Wildcat Traditions Keepers are alumni of the university who have fully embraced the Wildcat Way through immersion in their education, experiences, and lifestyle. These tradition keepers have demonstrated commitment, passion, and respect for the history of the University and have taken the first step towards becoming a successful alumnus. Following convocation all students will receive a copy of the Traditions Keeper book. This book will introduce students to 91 traditions that embody the CWU experience. Enrich your time at Central through participation in the traditions contained within the book s pages. By experiencing and recording your involvement in the 1891 Traditions Challenge, you will become part of the history of Central Washington University and in turn you will leave your mark for future generations. While the book is simply a keepsake of the memories earned at CWU, the true legacy of a 1891 Traditions Challenge is in the knowledge and friendships gained while earning the title of Wildcat Traditions Keeper. JOIN US FOR HOMECOMING OCTOBER 10-15! 5
