Depending on class rank, GPA, and ACT/SAT scores, students could receive President s Award $9.000 annually, Provost s Award $7,500 Dean s Award $2,750. Deadline is April 30, 2015. American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship- Automatic fire sprinklers save lives and property. We cannot say it enough. We all know what happens when sprinklers aren t present a building catches on fire and we wait for the fire department to put it out. But what happens when fire sprinklers are present? That s what we want you to find out and that s what these contests are all about. Award- 10 $20,000 and 5$5,000 scholarships. It s local, which means less applications! It's a pretty easy/fast application, and is notably underutilized. http://www.arizonadar.org/scholarships.html Arizona Musicfest 2015 Scholarship- Arizona Musicfest is pleased to announce the fifth year of the organization's Scholarship Program, which awards generous scholarship funds to an Arizona high school senior pursuing a college-level instrumental performance degree. Applicants must be Arizona residents graduating in 2015 and enrolling in a college-level instrumental performance program, with an emphasis in classical music, before December 31, 2015. College Sports Recruiting Scholarship- Sports is a more than wins and losses and while we are committed to helping athletes find opportunities to play sports at the college level, we believe the most important thing is getting a college education. As an organization we are proud to award a $1,000 scholarship to a college student who best represents a true leader in sports and life. We encourage all current or future college students who competed in a sport at the high school level to apply for the College Sports Recruiting Scholarship. You, or your team of two of two or three, must create either a two-minute video or 20-slide presentation giving an overview your project and embed it on the Summary page of your project submission. Hispanic Leadership Forum del Oeste Scholarship- Our mission is to provide scholarships to undergraduate students that are pursuing a college degree. Our scholarships are available to students who plan to attend an accredited university, community college or technical institution this upcoming academic year (Fall 2015). The eligibility is limited to students in the Southwest Valley, from the school districts of Agua Fria UHSD and Tolleson UHSD.The scholarship criteria require students to be of Hispanic heritage, to be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in Fall 2015 or a part-time student in Fall 2015, if also working, have a minimum high school or college semester GPA of 2.5, performed volunteer work and be a legal resident of the United States. If awarded a scholarship, recipients must volunteer at one Hispanic Leadership Forum del Oeste fundraiser in the upcoming academic year (Fall 2015 & Spring 2016). Deadline is May 3, 2015. I m First Scholarship- $2,000 four-year renewable scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors who will be first-generation college and are matriculating to a College Partner institution. Scholarship winners have the unique privilege to serve as student bloggers on I m First. This is for current high school seniors. The scholarship recipient will demonstrate academic success and exhibit leadership skills. Due to the high cost of education, a scholarship can help ease the burden of a student who has the desire to attend college. It is an honor and privilege for us to participate in an endeavor that will help the winning recipient succeed in accomplishing

that venerable goal. In June of 2015, the Law Offices of Michael Cordova will present one high school senior a $1000 scholarship award for academic achievement. For eligibility, applicants must plan to attend an Arizona community college or an accredited four-year university during the 2015-2016 academic year with a minimum of 12 credit hours completed for each semester; earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale; and submit a 250-word essay explaining why it is important to pursue higher education. Student Insights- One $4,000, two $1,000, 10 $500 scholarships for seniors who plan to attend a fouryear college, community/junior college or career school. Wattel & York Annual Scholarship Award -Wattel & York, a personal injury law firm in Arizona, is providing an annual $1,000 scholarship. The award, available to students who are single mothers, will be distributed between two students for the amount of $500 each. Students are requested to write a 1,500-2000 word essay on a topic provided by Wattel & York after submitting an initial application. Entries must be submitted by December 31, 2015. Wolverine-Knight Scholarship- This is an excellent scholarship opportunity for students to apply for, as it s limited to students in the district. Award ranges from $500-$2500 or a laptop computer. See Mr. Pappalardo for an application. Deadline is second Friday in April. WOLVERINE-KNIGHT FOUNDATION- EXCELLENCE-IN-ART CONTEST CRITERIA- RULES 1. Junior and senior class art and photography students are eligible. 2. Artwork may be submitted in the following areas of study: a. Painting/Watercolor b. Drawing c. Sculpture/Ceramics (3 dimensional) d. Mixed Media/Print Making/Other e. Photography 3. Submit two-dimensional work on flat stock up to 24 x 30. 4. Mat or mount on white or neutral gray tag or poster board. Black mounting may be used for photography. 5. Artwork must be original. Copying is not acceptable. 6. Artwork must be created solely by the student. 7. Fully complete the Entry Form. Please indicate in the space provided whether you are a junior or senior. Place the Entry Form in an envelope and attach to the outside of the work. DELIVERY Deliver art work to the District Office on or before March 26. JUDGING Judges are members of the Wolverine-Knight Foundation Board of Directors. Judging will be based on: a. Originality b. Visual Quality c. Artistic Craftsmanship AWARDS Artwork is purchased by the Wolverine-Knight Foundation for $100.00, awarded to the student. This artwork becomes the property of Tolleson Union High School District and will be part of the District s permanent art collection. We make every effort to have the home school display the art work.
