REPORTS 3.1 Advisor Reports Excited to have more clubs starting and we re thrilled to have all of you here. I am working on the Google Doc site to create a folder for club events. Please send your clubs reports to David Durost (ICC Secretary). 3.2 Club Reports AVC STEM Club Is looking into ideas for fundraisers such as Pizza Rev, Applebees, and other places in and out of the Antelope Valley. Dr. Nisani is setting up an aquaponics unit (given from USC) in the greenhouse on campus for gardening, teaching, and outreach programs. Dr. Bowen is doing undergraduate research, for searching atmospheric conditions on Mars. SkillsUSA Did a resume workshop for cover letter, recommendation letter to submit in a portfolio for the State Competition. The President suggested to contact the Job Placement Center for additional help. SNAC Spring 2017 Had a Popcornopolis fundraiser that generated $700. They had a fundraiser last Wednesday at Blaze Pizza.
ICC 5 Alpha Iota Currently selling Applebee s coupon books. SNAC Fall 2016 Changed officers and put together a pinning committee as graduation is eight months away. Plans on doing a lot fundraising this Spring and Summer. The Carl s Jr fundraiser was wrapped up and they made $1400. CNSA Continuing to sell club t shirts. The first meet and greet was a success. Plan to do another one next semester. Going to open it up for the Pre Nursing students which will give them insight as to what it all entails. BSU Fashion show went well. Good feedback from the community. Glad that membership has increased and possibly needs a bigger classroom to hold meetings. Si Se Puede Is focusing on ways to fundraise Veteran Club Still in the process of fundraising. Every other Wednesday at 8:00am is free coffee for Veterans in the Veterans Resource Center. Not planning anything right at this moment. Young Republicans Discussed the upcoming basketball tournament for the 13 th of May. Tickets will be $5.00 at the door and $3.00 presale. Currently five professors have signed up and would like a total of twenty instructors, ten for the first half and ten for the second half. Prepared to get slimed and will provide goggles. Paper work will be submitted at the next ICC meeting. Those who want to participate must get it approve within their own clubs. Anthropology Club Had success at the Ontario Society California Archeology. Chris Turner submitted a professional paper on the findings at Sorensen Park. Noemi Bustamante submitted a poster with her paper. They would like to go back next semester to present again. They will present a Surface Survey Symposium at AVC. VII. VIII.
