Shelby Towne Post Employee of the Month Latoya Trarick: Certified Nursing Assistant Latoya was born in Detroit Michigan along with one other sister. She went to Edwin Denby High School and Career Health Studies for the CNA license. She worked at American House for one year and then started working at Shelby in August 2017. When she isn t working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She likes cooking and going shopping. What she loves most about working at Shelby is when she comes to work she feels appreciated for all the work that she does. She also loves the fact that her and her co-workers work well together as a team! Nominations for Employee of the Month Every month we like to recognize the super employees at Shelby Nursing Center! Please take the time to fill out a form (located in the front lobby), nominating an employee (first & last name) and briefly describe why you think they should be Employee of the Month. But reservations in dining rooms for family parties of 6 people or more is required and can not be during resident meal times. Please stop by the reception desk to fill out a Special Function Request form. Laundry Services Shelby Nursing Center offers free personal laundry & labeling services. Labeling is strongly recommended for all patients. In the event of misplaced clothing, labeling enhances our ability to recover your items. This meeting is for all residents that are in our facility, including those in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care! The resident council meeting is a time for residents to voice their opinions about nursing, dietary, maintenance, housekeeping/laundry, activities, social services, resident rights and grievance procedures. We also discuss what the facility can do to enhance your quality of life and where you can go to review the current Department of Health Services survey results.
