Introduction Welcome to Tift Regional Health System! Each year Tift Regional hosts over 1000 students from all disciplines who find our hospital and other service areas a great place to learn. We hope as you participate in your learning experience, that you too will find us a great place not only for learning but also for patient care. Slide 2 of 19
Introduction This short computer based program is designed to help you as a student know a little about our Organization. In addition to this program, you will have several other courses to complete on the computer. The additional courses will cover material required by The Joint Commission and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. These requirements are to help assure patient safety as well as your personal safety while rotating with us. Slide 3 of 19

With a reputation as an innovative provider of quality care, Tift Regional Health System (TRHS) is a not-for-profit organization that serves South Central Georgia. Services provided include primary care in Abbeville, Adel, Ashburn, Nashville, Ocilla, Sylvester, and Tifton, Georgia. Two hospital campuses, one in Tifton and the other in Adel, provide acute care for citizens of South Central Georgia. Slide 6 of 19
In Tifton, a 191 bed regional hospital, provides a variety of specialized services. The Tifton campus includes six Centers of Excellence offering advanced, expert care in oncology, cardiology, neurology, surgery, women's health and emergency medicine. Slide 7 of 19
Other services located in Tifton include primary and urgent care with many specialties at our West Campus/Affinity location; primary care at Tift Community Health Center in south Tifton; Hospice Services; Outpatient Dialysis; Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy. The campus located in Adel, Georgia, includes a 60 bed acute care medical/surgical hospital, a 95 bed Skilled Nursing Facility and a 12 bed Geriatric-Psychiatric unit. Slide 8 of 19
Tift Regional Health System s West Campus/ Affinity is an 85,000-square-foot outpatient facility that provides physician services for primary care, specialty care and urgent care. Slide 9 of 19
At the West Campus/Affinity location you will find: A full range of Laboratory services. Radiology, including X-ray, CT, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound. Physician Specialties including internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, pulmonology and more. Endoscopy services. Slide 10 of 19
Tift Regional Health System is under the direction of the Tift County Hospital Authority, a nine-member board of volunteer trustees appointed by the Tift County Board of Commissioners. Though guided by a governmentappointed entity, TRHS provides charitable care for the community without tax levied on local taxpayers. Tift Regional accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Privately Insured and self paying patients and receives no tax dollars to support any of its operations. Slide 11 of 19
Mission Statement The philosophy of Tift Regional Health System is based on the belief that the primary and fundamental purpose of the organization s existence is to serve the health needs of the patient as well as those of the community. The Hospital Authority of Tift County has the complete legal and moral duty and responsibility to see that Tift Regional Health System renders an adequate range of services that includes preventive, inpatient and outpatient services; to see that these services are delivered with a consistent, high level of quality; and, to ensure the hospital s financial viability and cost effectiveness. Mission Statement The organization also strives to assist in the provision of an adequate number of primary care and specialty physicians in the region in order to facilitate access to healthcare services. Insofar as Tift Regional Health System is a regional referral facility serving the healthcare needs of many citizens in South Central Georgia, the Hospital Authority recognizes its responsibility in a multicounty region. The organization is expected to adopt new and innovative methods of healthcare delivery consistent with the identified needs of the region. Slide 13 of 19
