Kyushu Univ. has decided to tackle East Asian environmental issues as part of the universitys commemoration project for its 2011 centenary,, having launched an international project composing of industry and outstanding academic experts, assembling seven teams dedicated to various environmental issues. The project aims to solve environmental issues in East Asian region by conducting international joint research among major institutions in China, South Korea, and Japan.
