WELCOME TO IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY! WELCOME! The purpose of orientation is to acclimate you to campus and Ames while simultaneously learning how to be successful at Iowa State. We will cover as much information as possible, and please, do not hesitate to ask questions. A note about punctuality: Please arrive on time to each event and plan to stay until the end. It s essential that you are on time to events and meetings. Especially in the U.S., late arrivals are considered impolite. 2
