AHACs Aboriginal Health Access Centres (AHACs) are Aboriginal community-led, primary health care organizations. They provide a combination of traditional healing, primary care, cultural programs, health promotion programs, community development initiatives, and social support services to First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities. There are currently 10 AHACs in Ontario, providing services both on and off reserve, in urban, rural and northern locations.

Wholistic, Integrated Care Services for the whole person (Body, Mind, Emotions, Spirit) Social Determinants of Health with emphasis on culture Team approach (Doctors, NPs, Nurses, Counsellors, Social Workers, Dietitians, Community Workers, Physiotherapy, Psychiatrists, CYWs )

Tele-Mental Health Provincial service; SOAHAC is the Coordinating Agency for this region ( Service Area 4 ) Uses existing videoconferencing technology (OTN) to connect Indigenous children/youth to a mental health specialist/psychiatrist closer to home Referrals can come from any service provider working with an Indigenous child/youth
