Please confirm your move-in date by completing orientation registration at https://ois.camden.rutgers.edu/orientation Camden City Tour $ Time: 10:00am 12:30pm Location: Meet outside 330 Cooper Explore your new city with the International Student Ambassadors! Open a bank account and have lunch at one of the local Camden eateries! International Student Meet & Greet Time: 6:00pm 8:00pm Location: 330 Cooper Club Room (2 nd Floor) Please join our International Student Ambassadors, the International Students Association and current international students for a meet & greet with pizza and snacks. Mon, 29 th Advising and Registration Time: 8:30am 12:00pm Location: Camden Campus Center - Multipurpose Room Student Advising & Registration is a half-day program where undergraduate first -year and transfer students will have an appointment with an advisor, select and register for classes. Tue, 30 th New Hire Orientation (TAs & GAs) Time: 1:00pm 3:00pm Location: Campus Center Lower Level Viewing Room TAs/GAs must attend a new hire orientation. Human Resources staff will discuss health insurance, Rutgers benefits, and review employment and benefit paperwork. International Student Orientation Time: 8:00am 4:30pm Location: Campus Center - West ABC The mandatory orientation provides valuable information regarding maintaining your status, academic matters, student services, a campus tour and more! Wed, 31 st Raptor Welcome Time: 7:00am 4:30pm Location: Athletic & Fitness Center The Office of New Student Programs sponsors Raptor Welcome, an interactive orientation program where new students interact with classmates, faculty and staff, and learn about campus services. Graduate Gab & Grub $ Time: 12:00pm 3:00pm Meeting Location: City Hall PATCO Station An opportunity for current and new graduate students to meet and discuss life as a graduate student at Rutgers-Camden! Thu, Sep 1 st We suggest you wear sneakers and jeans during the day of service! New Student Day of Service Time: 8:00am 2:00pm Location: Campus Center 1st Floor Multipurpose Room New Student Day of Service is a great opportunity to become involved, get to know your fellow Raptors, and give back to the local community. Students will be grouped into service teams based on project activities. Sat, Sep 3 rd Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring flip-flops or sandals for the beach. Philadelphia City Tour & Reading Terminal Market $ Time: 11:30am 3:30pm Meeting Location: City Hall PATCO Station Enjoy lunch at the Reading Terminal Market, followed by a contemporary tour of Philadelphia. The tour includes landmarks, museums, as well as popular restaurants and hang-outs around Philly! Atlantic City Day Trip $ Time: 8:30am 5:30pm Meeting Location: 330 Cooper Street Visit the beach, shop at retail outlets, or just walk the Boardwalk! Plan to bring at least $20.00 cash and additional money for food and shopping. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes for the trip.
