WI ASABE SECTION NEWSLETTER September 2017 Page 4 of 8 Secretary s Report 01 September 2017 The June 21 st, 2017 ASABE Wisconsin Section Meeting was held in Central Wisconsin. The afternoon started with a visit to A&B Process Systems in Stratford, WI. A&B designs, fabricates, installs, and supports large stainless process modules for many industries including the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors. After a short presentation about the company the group took a tour of the manufacturing facility. The remainder of the meeting was spent at the National Farm Medicine Center located at the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute. Casper Bendixsen gave a presentation explaining the purpose of the Center and some of the projects they are working on. Integrating safety into agritourism, promoting ROPS usage, and promoting childcare services for parents who work on farms were a few of the projects he explained. Voluntary enforcement is one of the challenges they face with these projects. The presentation was followed by dinner and light discussion of the day s events. No formal business meeting was held.
