General Information The conference will be held Thursday, Nov. 11 and Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at, Main Building, 1st Floor, in the Stokes Auditorium. Registration will begin each day at 7:15 a.m. The registration fee for both days is $195. The registration fee for one day is $120. Registration fees include continental breakfast, breaks, meal vouchers and conference materials. Learning Objectives At the completion of this two-day course, the participant will be able to: Identify challenges that face healthcare team members caring for this pediatric patient population Review current treatment and technological advances relevant to the care of children with surgical and trauma related needs Discuss the impact that trauma and surgical interventions can have on the physical and emotional future of the pediatric patient Discuss the acute care of patients with abdominal trauma, spinal cord injury and orbital trauma Discuss the etiology, pathophysiology and epidemiology of Pediatric Short Bowel Syndrome Review the indications for and outcomes of intestinal transplantation Nursing Accreditation Statement is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation.
