Announcement THE ADELANTE PROGRAM FALL 2008 We are pleased to announce that the new director of the East Los Angeles College Adelante Program, a learning community established to assist entering students transition to college, is Dr. Viviana Castellon. Viviana is a tenured member of the ELAC Math Department. She will be assisted by Michelle Hernandez-Payan, a counselor, who worked with the program in academic year 2007-8. Many thanks to Dr. Armida Ornelas, first director of the program, who has transitioned to a new position and Ms. Melari Su who will be returning to Counseling on a full-time basis.
