This psitin is respnsible fr wrking with patients fr amendments and prviders f UW Health fr any crrectins r administrative clsures f incmplete dcumentatin. The cmpletin f the electrnic medical recrd is identified thrugh hspital plicy and mnitred thrugh the EMR sftware supplied by UW Health ensuring all state, federal and hspital regulatins are met. Significant technical skills are required fr staff t perfrm the functin f analyzing and mnitring incmplete dcumentatin fr active and inactive UW Health prviders. The incumbent rutinely wrks with ther supprt services, patient care unit manager and physician leadership t prblemslve and crdinate an accurate and cmplete electrnic medical recrd, with Infrmatin Services in the technical management f hardware and any sftware. This psitin is respnsible fr the crdinatin f training and quality assurance fr activities perfrmed within this sectin, prviding training t new staff, assisting in the planning and develpment f training materials, assisting in the develpment and implementatin f quality assurance prcesses, serving as a resurce t staff and assuming respnsibility fr staff cverage in the absence f the HIM Supervisr. The individual will anticipate business wner needs with a mind-set based n fundamental knwledge f the system and the rganizatinal infrastructure (UWHealth) t recmmend slutins that enable enterprise gal achievement. The individual will retain current certificatins in the primary systems and applicatins as well as prviding crdinatin acrss multiple teams t deliver slutins fr the enterprise. The incumbent will supprt and cllabrate with medical faculty, clinical staff and administrative supprt staff in patient care, day-t-day business peratins, revenue cycle as well as teaching and research activities. The individual will cllabrate with a wide variety f members thrughut the enterprise, including new partners as identified. The incumbent will ensure quality dcumentatin using frnt-end-speech by cmpleting quality audits f the entire narrative and assciated data t prtect patients, caregivers and rganizatinal integrity cnsistently. The incumbent will wrk with the Management and ITS technical teams t develp and implement prcess imprvements t wrk flw and t sftware prgrams. The incumbent is respnsible fr database creatin and maintenance, tracking reprts and spreadsheets and ther sftware updates as determined by ITS technical teams. The HIM Analyst may participate in a 24X7 n-call supprt rtatin t meet the critical clinical and business needs f the rganizatin. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Applicatin Develpment and Supprt Serve as the technical expert fr the applicatin which includes Crdinates and supprts full cycle implementatin, testing, applicatin develpment, nging ptimizatin and stabilizatin f applicatins fr UW Health and cntracted partners. Assists in ensuring timely deliverables f high quality wrk.
