Overview This conference is designed to educate physicians and residents in the field of Neurology as well as residents, nurse practitioners, midwives and physicians in the field of Obstetrics on issues where the fields of Neurology and Obstetrics intersect. Learning Objectives The course will feature speakers from multiple disciplines including Neurology, Obstetrics, Anesthesia, Neurosurgery and Neuro-Oncology. Subjects covered include Preeclampsia/Eclampsia, Headache Management, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Neuro-Oncology, Chiari Malformation, and Neurological Complications of Obstetrical Anesthesia. Neurologists may earn selfassessment CME by completing an exam after the course. They will be provided correct answers, a list of references, and their score on the exam as it relates to the score earned by their peers. Who Should Attend Neurology, obstetrical anesthesia attendings, residents and nurse practitioners, obstetrical attendings, residents, midwives and nurse practioners, and obstetrical anesthesiologists. Continuing Education Credit This activity has been approved for 10.0 hours of Self-Assessment Category I CME credits for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Maintenance of Certification Program. For those who do not wish to take the self-assessment exam: The School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Obstetrical Neurology Conference The School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Other health care professionals are awarded 0.7 continuing education units (CEU s) which are equal to 7.0 contact hours.
