Please note, if you take the make up writing test instead of the mandatory pre-orientation test, you may not receive a complete course schedule on Thursday of Orientation eek. ho is required to take the riting Placement Test? Undergraduate students who have not previously completed a college level English Composition class from a regionally-accredited U.S. college or university where the primary language of instruction is in English with a B or better or AP test of 4 or 5 in English Composition or English Literature are required to take a riting Placement Test for purposes of placing you in the correct level of our required riting class. Those who have already fulfilled the class requirement as described above will receive transfer credit for the class and are therefore exempted from the writing placement test. Students are responsible for providing an official college transcript or official AP score report in order to receive transfer credit. Classes taken at non-u.s. colleges in which the language of instruction is English will be evaluated on an individual basis. Any exception to the testing policy will be made on a case-by-case basis by the Chair of Humanities and Design Sciences or her/his designee. Exchange students are exempt from all testing requirements.
