Satellite Club Development Programme 2016-17 The Satellite Club Development Programme has been created to enable Satellite Clubs to have access to funding and resources in order to ensure the club is sustainable post the three year Sport England funding. Herts Sports Partnership are offering clubs and organisations who are delivering Satellite clubs the opportunity to apply for 1,000 funding in return of completing a set criteria to ensure sustainability is the outcome. Who can apply? All Satellite Clubs who are funded through Herts Sports Partnership are invited to apply to be part of the scheme. The clubs who apply have to be linked with a community club The club applying must be currently active What does the club have to do to gain the funding? In order to receive the full amount of funding the club will have to meet the set essential sections of the criteria highlighted below: The club or organisation will provide Herts Sports Partnership with a case study before March 2017 The participant to coach ratio must meet guidelines from the relevant body i.e. NGB/Sports Development Unit Any lead coach/instructor/teacher is suitably qualified to a standard recognised by their sport s NGB, REPs, has Qualified Teacher Status and is registered on the CoachMark database A Coach or leader who is delivering the Satellite Club will attend a ScUK or similar workshop- EXCLUDING: First Aid and Safeguarding Attend two meetings with the Herts Sports Partnership Satellite Club Lead Provide relevant Monitoring and Evaluation to Herts Sports Partnership Someone from the club to attend a Club Matters Workshop Someone from the club to attend a Funding 4 Sport workshop Desirable Desirable
Applying for the Satellite Club Development Programme Clubs who sign up to the programme must state how the impact of the funding will contribute to the sustainability of the club The club must outline what the funding will be spent on The club will outline what they aim to achieve with the funding and why they want to be involved Clubs will also be required to highlight the previous developments and where they are at currently How can we support your application? Practical advice and help: There are many ways that we may be able to advise you or help with the practical arrangements for your club. This could mean anything from advising individuals on where to find out about qualifications, to helping them find a sports coach; or advising organisations on rules and regulations to helping them find a venue. Promotional assistance: If you are relying on the support of your local community to make your project a success, you may be keen to benefit from the promotional support Herts Sports Partnership can offer. This may include listing your event in our newsletter, or inclusion of your project on our website. The following costs are eligible for funding: Coaching Fees Training for coaches Facility hire Volunteer expenses Equipment Promotional and Marketing material The following costs are not eligible for funding: Activities not related to the Satellite club Endowments or loan repayments Transport of coaches or instructors to an activity For ongoing projects the applicant must be able to show how ongoing costs will be met after the funding runs out. Preference will be given to those projects that are most sustainable. How do I apply? You can make apply by completing the form at the back of this application pack. The application process is open until 31 st August 2016. Successful applications are limited to one per Satellite Club.
