ALUMNI WEEKEND INFORMATION Attendee List GENERAL The Alumni Weekend attendee list of alumni, faculty, and staff is posted here: http://forever.francis.edu/alumniweekend2018. It updates as soon as someone registers, so it is always up to date! Children You are welcome to bring your children to Alumni Weekend. However, certain events such as the Friday kickoff and the Saturday dinner-dance are not be appropriate for children under 12. Children attending these activities require an adult ticket, as there is no children s pricing for these events. The University does not offer a babysitting/child care service, but you may bring your own sitter to Alumni Weekend. Class Photos Reunion-year class photos will be taken after the dinner on Saturday, July 28, except for the 50 th anniversary class photos, which will be taken before the dinner. Fifty-year graduates will be mailed a complimentary 5x7 print of their class photo. All other class photos, as well as all photos from the weekend, will be uploaded to Alumni Engagement s Flicker site and alumni will be provided with a link and downloading instructions. Dress Code There is no enforced dress code for the dinner/dance. Many alumni still dress up, but some now follow a business casual approach: button up shirts (with or without tie), golf shirts, or Hawaiian shirts, with slacks or dress pants for men; dresses or blouses or casual shirts with slacks, capris, or skirts for women. Feel free to dress up or dress down, according to your own preference. Smoking Policy All campus residence halls and buildings are smoke-free. No smoking is permitted inside any campus building. Reservations Advance reservations are required for the Saturday dinner/dance; unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate walk-ins for this event. Reservations also are highly recommended for all other Alumni Weekend meals and activities listed on the Registration Form. You can register for all aspects of Alumni Weekend, except for a Christian Hall room, by using the online reservation form located at http://forever.francis.edu/alumniweekend2018 or by calling Laura Lamb at 814-472-3015. Refund Policy Cancellations will be accepted with full refunds until 5:00 pm, Monday, July 23. No refunds will be given for Christian Hall unless we are able to fill the room for the same period of time as the original reservation. Meals All meals served on campus during Alumni Weekend will be catered by Parkhurst Dining Services. Member Pricing vs. Nonmember Pricing All meals and some paid events have two price categories: member and nonmember. Member pricing provides significant savings for lifetime members of the Alumni Association, current annual members and to those who join for the 2018-19 year before or during Alumni Weekend. To enjoy member savings throughout the weekend, add your membership fee to your Alumni Weekend total in the designated section, and then select meals at the member price. Please note: if you select meals at the member price and are not a member of the Association (lifetime or yearly for 2018-19), you will be charged the nonmember price on your Alumni Weekend invoice. Coffee & Tea Complimentary coffee and tea also will be provided in the residence halls on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. Hospitality Bar MEALS The hospitality bar with complimentary water, sodas, beers, wine, and chips will be open from Noon until 10:00 pm on Thursday, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. After 7:00 pm on Friday, the bar is part of the ticketed Kickoff Party, which costs $20 for members and $23 for nonmembers. On Saturday, the hospitality bar will reopen during the dinner/dance at 6:00 pm and will remain open until midnight.
