All new or experienced project leaders are invited to attend. Please RSVP to the Clark County Extension Office at 660-727-3339 or hoganka@missouri.edu by January 5th if you plan to attend. 4-H MOVE Across Missouri 4-H MOVE Across Missouri is back for 2018! Youth and adults can register in 4-H Online now through April 30th and log the number of minutes they accumulate throughout the year moving! The purpose is to promote physical activity and to encourage youth to engage in a broad range of activities such as walking, biking, running, swimming, dance, taekwondo, gardening and more! The competitive portion of the program runs from February 1 to April 30 and there are prizes! For more information, visit http://4h.missouri.edu/4hmove/main. 4-H Expo: The Road to Success Mark your calendars for February 17th and make plans to attend the 4-H Expo (formerly the regional energizer) from 10am until 2pm on the MACC Campus in Moberly, Missouri. This year we are offering tracks for Cloverkids, youth 8-10 and youth 11-18, in addition to adult tracks. Each track will center around 4-H project exploration, life skills, career pathways and college and career resources as well as financial aid and scholarship information. The Expo is open to 4-H and non-4-h members for a cost of $10 per participant, which covers lunch. Pre-registration and payment is required by February 1st to your local Extension Office. So, mark your calendars and recruit some friends, but don t miss out on the 2018 4-H Expo! Goal Setting As things really get going for the new year, it is a great time to think about what your goals are for the 4-H year. Setting goals is really deciding what you would like to get out of this year so that you can focus on how you want to get there kind of like a map. In 4-H we set both personal and project goals. Personal goals could be to meet new friends or to go to camp. Project goals would be learning to make whole wheat bread or learning to make buttonholes in sewing. Goals should have three parts that can be measured: action, results, and time. How are you going to do it? What will you do? And when do you plan to have it done? The project record is a great tool to help you in capturing your 4-H goals for the year and documenting your progress and achievement of those goals. They are also very helpful in completing the end-of-the year forms. Project records are Y620 4-H Project Record and can be found on the 4h.missouri.edu website.
