Position Description ENTERPRISE WEB UI DEVELOPER One (1) Enterprise Applications Developer to provide Web UI applications development and sustaining support for Customer facing web projects. Duties: Candidate will be expected to work well both independently and under the guidance of a project lead to design, develop or integrate, and test Microsoft.Net MVC Web applications and websites. The successful candidate will need to work effectively with SMUD developers and analysts to design and develop solutions and proactively seek out help as needed to accomplish project goals as scheduled and be able to manage time effectively between multiple assignments. Candidate will be focused on creating the web UI layer of our customer facing web applications and should have expertise in the skills listed below in the Desired Qualities used to develop rich and dynamic web solutions based on provided designs and specifications using existing SMUD development processes and standards and leveraging existing templates whenever possible. The candidate shall perform thorough testing to ensure all work meets expectations and create/update detailed support documentation for all applications and web sites as required. Ability to communicate effectively and proactively, both verbally and in writing, with SMUD staff to accomplish objectives. Strong written and verbal communication skills, flexibility to work well as part of team or independently, and have a track record of successful project work on various web development efforts in a business environment. 2-2
Mandatory Requirements: THE ITEMS IN THIS SECTION WILL BE EVALUATED ON A PASS/FAIL BASIS DURING THE EVALUATION. ONLY THOSE PROPOSALS MEETING ALL OF THE MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED. Minimum five (5) years of recent web applications development/support experience. Web UI Development Skills/Experience: Microsoft C#.Net/Razor,.Net MVC 4+, Bootstrap 2+, Javascript, JQuery, with strong UI/UX development focus. Desired Qualities: Additional Web Development skills/experience: Microsoft.Net Framework including ASP.net, ADO.net, C#, Web Services, XML, MS SQL Server, N-Tier Application Architecture, Object Oriented Programming, MS VSTS/TFS Unit testing tools: MS Unit Test framework for managed code, Microsoft Fakes isolation framework SAP Remote Function Calls (RFCs), IIS Configuration Electric Utility experience preferred Experience with building secure multi-tiered internet web applications in a load-balanced and firewalled environment is highly desired Contractor will be expected to work at SMUD facilities 40 hours per week. 4.11. PROMPT PAYMENT PROGRAM SMUD has a prompt payment program for small businesses which are certified by the State Department of General Services. Under the program, SMUD will guarantee payment of invoices within 20 calendar days from the date of inspection and acceptance by SMUD or the date correct invoices are received, whichever is later. If SMUD fails to meet the 20 calendar days payment guarantee, the small business will be paid interest on the unpaid invoice at prime plus 2% APR.
