In my first message to you, I indicated that Rotary is shaped in our Clubs, by our Clubs and their members. Well, kudos goes to every member of District 6330 with the generous show of world understanding as demonstrated through your Haiti relief efforts. I m extremely proud to report that preliminary estimates for Aquabox and ShelterBox, from or through District 6330 are near the $180,000. - dollar mark. World Understanding Month is a great time for our Group Study Exchange team to depart on their vocational and cultural experience to our 09-10 sister District 4280 in Colombia. Our team has been preparing for months and is ready to represent us very well. You will have a chance to meet both our inbound team from Colombia and hear of the experiences of our outbound team at our District Conference in May. This will be a perfect opportunity to recruit our returning team members into your Rotary club. Also, to celebrate World Understanding Month, I invite all clubs to participate in the Afghanistan Challenge Project. To Celebrate the Canadian Rotary Centennial, all Districts with Canadian Clubs are building a school that will serve 4000 students in three shifts daily. It was Canada that made Rotary INTERNATIONAL and we can ALL celebrate that. Therefore, I am asking all of our District 6330 clubs to make a minimal donation of $250. - to this project. Clubs of 30 or more are asked to contribute at least $8. - per member. February is also the time of year when the current District Governor gets to make a special announcement. I am very pleased to announce that AG Tom Robitaille from the Rotary Club of Sarnia-Bluewaterland has been selected to be our District Governor for the year 2012-2013. Congratulations Tom!
