PRE-REQUISITES FOR 6 MONTHS PROGRAMME Must have read NM2220 and NM2216 for Games or Interactive media related internships. Recommendation letter from CNM lecturer or tutor (to be sent to cnmbox10@nus.edu.sg ) Employers may have additional pre-requisites based on the type of position

Students can also let the department know of their preferences during the interview

IMPORTANT DATES (DURING AND AFTER INTERNSHIP) Dates Activities 13 Feb 2017 Invite companies to take part in upcoming round 21 Feb 2017 Briefing on CNM Internship 3 Mar 2017 Last day for companies to send in submissions 10 Mar 2017 Closing date for students to submit their resume and application documents, including self-sourced internships. 15 Mar 2017 Department informs the short-listed students of the date and venue of department interview (Job scope will be sent to the selected students prior to department interview) 20 24 Mar 2017 Department Interview Venue: CNM Meeting Room (TBC) Time: TBC 29 Mar Apr 2017 Selected students will be informed of where they have been recommended for interviews (2-3 choices) 7 Apr 2017 Department informs companies/organisations of the selected students for their consideration. Interviews to be held before exams (22 Apr 2017) or after (6 May 2017)

IMPORTANT DATES (DURING AND AFTER INTERNSHIP) 19 May 2017 Last date for companies/organisations to inform students of internship outcome (CNM must be kept in the loop too) 29 May 2 Jun 2017 Pre Departure Briefing to selected students for internships Venue: CNM Meeting Room Time: TBC Date: TBC 3 Jul 15 Dec 2017 6-month Internship commences (24 weeks) 29 Dec 2017 Students to submit written report to academic supervisors 31 Mar 2018 Supervisors to submit their overall grades and hardcopy of their assignments 2 nd week of Aug Release of NM3550 and INM3550 results (together with release of other examinations results after special semester)

TYPICAL INTERNSHIP PACKAGES Allowance of SGD 800 to 1300 per month (CPF exempted) Working hours: Mondays to Fridays (8.30am to 6pm*) (Or arrangements equaling 44 hours a week)

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO & EXPECT Internships are holiday jobs An opportunity to earn some extra $$$ Expect to work only from 9am to 5pm Skip work like skipping lectures & tutorials Take frequent MCs just because you don t feel like working Be late for work Dress sloppily Keep to yourself and not socialise in the workplace

WHAT ABOUT SELF-SOURCED INTERNSHIPS? If you have sourced your own internship*, include the following details in the application form: - Name of Organization - Name of contact person and contact details - Job function, roles and responsibilities - Duration of internship - Allowance and other benefits *The internship is subject to the approval of the department internship committee as the position must be relevant to CNM and match the objectives of the internship programme.

INFORMATION ON CAREER CATALYST Career Catalyst is a series of 4 workshops run by NUS Centre for Future Ready Graduates (CFG). This replaces the earlier NCC1000.
