Purpse f the Jb The Training & Cnferences Manager will: Oversee and develp BCT s training & cnference strategy with apprpriate supprt Manage curse and cnference delivery, review, develpment and prmtin Manage the develpment f training and cnferences fr BCT pririty audiences Main Respnsibilities 1. Strategic planning Review and develp the training and cnference strategy n an annual basis, and implement any necessary changes Update and mnitr training and cnference milestnes and targets within the wider BCT strategy Take an verview f all training and cnferences within BCT, and act as cntact pint and advisr fr ther staff

Training curses Manage the training curse bking prcess and delivery f BCT training curses Review and evaluate current training curses n an annual basis (r mre frequently where apprpriate) Make amendments t curses fllwing evaluatin t ensure that BCT curses remain relevant and at a high standard Develp new training curses and pprtunities in line with BCT s strategy, bth fr industry prfessinals and vlunteers Manage external cntractrs wh will act as BCT tutrs fr these curses Ensure that all curse materials and cntent are in line with BCT s psitin and huse style Wrk with relevant teams t keep an verview f all training within BCT t ensure that cnsistency is maintained Deliver training curses where apprpriate 3. Cnferences Cntact fr any cnference related enquiries Organise and deliver BCT s suite f cnference events, this will include Bking venues Managing delegate bkings Finalising prgrammes Bking and managing speakers and wrkshp leaders Bking and managing exhibitrs Securing spnsrship fr events (with supprt frm the Directr f Cmmunicatins & Fundraising) Event preparatin, set-up and pint f cntact during event 4. Marketing Market BCT training curses and cnferences Develp prmtin f all curses and cnferences t relevant audiences (e.g. cnsultants, cnstructin industry) t ensure that the training department is self-sustainable Have an verview f BCT s psitin within the marketplace 5. Outside the rganisatin Regular cntact with training and cnference venues, trainers and curse attendees, speakers, wrkshp leaders, spnsrs, exhibitrs and delegates fr cnferences, and accreditatin rganisatins fr training curses.

Length f pst This is a permanent full-time cntract but as with all BCT psts depends n cntinuatin f funds. There is an initial three mnth prbatinary perid with ne week s ntice, then tw mnths ntice. Pensin BCT will autmatically enrl yu int a Grup Pensin Plan after yu have been emplyed by BCT fr three mnths. Currently, emplyee and emplyer cntributins are 3% (minimum) and 3% respectively. Pensin cntributins will be reviewed and increased in line with pensin refrm legislatin. Usual time f wrk 9am 5.30pm including ne hur fr lunch (37.5 hurs per week). Fr 2017 these ne day events will be rganised by a Reginal Cnference Organiser. The Training and Cnference Manager will line manage this pst. April December: Deliver a prgramme f 20-22 prfessinal training curses these are ne r tw day curses, penly advertised and bked via an nline bking system. These curses are taught by external tutrs n behalf f BCT. April December: Develp and deliver at least 6 in-huse training curses (based n currently available curses).
