The Elizabeth O Neil Feagley Award for creativity- Given in memory of Elizabeth O Neil Feagley and jointly awarded by the English and the Fine and Performing Arts Departments: Kate Renshaw-Lewis The MacVicar Prize Awarded to juniors of outstanding personal character who have demonstrated qualities of leadership and good citizenship, and have made a positive contribution to the Upper School: Mariam Abukwaik, Kate Renshaw-Lewis, Matt Rubenstein Faculty Scholar Awards- Established by the Upper School faculty to recognize and honor students who have demonstrated unusual intellectual curiosity, seeking knowledge for its own sake rather than for material rewards: 9 th Grade - Grant Gonsalves, Simone Gulliver, Nyla Williams 10 th Grade - Nico Espinosa Dice, Ethan Kuhl, Evelyn Wallace 11 th Grade John Gouwar, Josh Talbot, Jacob Sasfai, Jacob Waldor Community Service Awards: Presidential Service Awards- A government premier volunteer awards program that encourages citizens, through presidential recognition, to live a life of service. Awards are based on hours of service. I am pleased to announce that this year s MKA recipients is: Olivia Vaughn 16 Yogi Berra Museum s Best Teammate Award - Given to that MKA team member who represents the very best of what being a teammate is all about: Ross Turkington 2016 MKA Varsity Award -The MKA Varsity Award recognizes senior athletes for their dedication, success, and achievement throughout the course of their MKA athletic careers. The MKA Varsity Award is given in recognition to those senior athletes who have received 10 or more varsity letters throughout their MKA athletic careers: Billy Hughes 16 (Cross Country, Indoor Track and Track and Field), Izzy Mendez 16 (Field Hockey, Basketball and Softball), Chris Sibilia 16 (Football, Ice Hockey and Lacrosse) Al Staph Award- Presented to a senior who has overcome a physical handicap or serious injury in order to contribute to the success of athletics at Montclair Kimberley Academy: Chris Sibilia 16 Senior Captain s Prize- Awarded each season to the team captain who best exemplifies the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, and fair play: Amanda D Allessandro 16
