WINDEWARD BOUND YOUTH LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE Applications have now opened for the Rotary Tasmania Youth Program - 'The Youth Leadership Challenge'. The Youth Leadership Challenge brings together 10 young Tasmanian Mentors and 10 New Tasmanian's from migrant or refugee backgrounds for a 10-day voyage at sea. The program promotes understanding, inclusiveness, and community by bringing together young people aged 15-18 years from vastly different backgrounds and giving them the opportunity to connect and grow with one another in both the short and long term. Do you know a young Tasmanian in your community who could benefit from this unique youth development opportunity? Encourage them to apply today. DETAILS When: 9th - 18th December 2018 Who: Tasmanian's aged 15 18 from refugee or non-refugee backgrounds from around Tasmania (Please note that all participants are required to have enough English language ability to fully understand and respond to safety instructions aboard the ship.) How much: All participants must do some fundraising to help offset the costs of this voyage, and will receive guidance if required. Youth from refugee backgrounds are eligible for a subsidy to cover majority of their fundraising goal. Nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds!
