New Strategy with Horizon 2020 Excellent Science: World class science is the foundation of tomorrow s technologies, and development of research talent Industrial Leadership: Strategic investments in key technologies underpin innovation across existing and emerging industries Societal Challenges: Breakthrough solutions for global challenges come from multi-disciplinary collaborations, including social sciences & humanities

R & D Spending (in EURO) Gross Domestic Expenditure on R&D Target in OECD countries is expected to be 3% / year; The ratio of Gross Domestic Expenditure on R&D for EU 27 in 2012 was about 2 %; in absolute figures it reached about 248 billion Euro.

Package of training, WS, coaching Information seminar, training, workshops on Horizon 2020, COST and EUREKA programmes Being held in Mostar 28 and 29 April 2014 Sarajevo 06 and 07 May 2014 Banja Luka 13 and 14 May 2014 Main topics: introduction of H2020, what is in H2020 for you?, how to find relevant info for you, how to apply workshop for project application; specify project idea, writing proposal brief, assist partner search, proposal preparation

II. Follow-up Package of, WS, coaching Workshop, mentoring & coaching on Horizon 2020 Being held in Sarajevo 27 and 28 May 2014 Mostar 11 and 12 June 2014 Banja Luka 02 and 03 June 2014 Main topics: inform and deepening first training, based on project ideas coaching, based on developed project idea; polling information, partner search working with open or upcoming coals

Coaching for Application Ongoing assistance is being offered for application to Horizon 2020. It is provided by experts who have submitted project proposals successfully, who are working in consortia of FP7 / Horizon 2020 who have expertise in different subjects, e.g. Marie Skłodowska- Curie actions, food, agriculture, forestry; Health; Energy and environment; ICT; innovation in SME Location: - not only in Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka; - but also in other places if minimum 3-5 people will attend; Experts are available during: 24 30 April; 05 15 May; 26 May 27 June 2014.

Broker science and innovation Researchers and innovators are assisted to broker their know how at European events. The RTDPI supports the participation by develop presentation of project brief preparation of poster searching of project partner partnering with European scientists and inventers contribute to costs of travel and accommodation Following samples of Brokerage events for participation:

Further options for Brokerage events The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) 2014 provides a forum for policy dialogue on Regional Strategies, Innovation & Growth. The WIRE Conference has been established as a debate leading to recommendations for optimal use of policies and instruments for regional development.

NCP and Focal Point members The RTDPI project qualifies providers of services in BiH for Horizon 2020. The aim is to have more applicants from BIH successful in Horizon 2020. Coaching training is provided along the NCP Guiding Principles agreed by all H2020 countries:

Proposed coaching topics NCPs will be coached on the following topics: Guidance on choosing relevant H2020 topics and types of action Advice on administrative procedures and contractual issues Training and assistance on proposal writing Distribution of documentation (forms, guidelines, manuals etc.) Assistance in partner search
