Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program A year of professional enrichment in the United States for experienced professionals from designated developing and emerging countries UC Davis has hosted the Humphrey Program for 24 years and is home to 12 fellows in 2015-2016 In 2015-16, 167 Humphrey Fellows from 90 countries are spending the academic year at 15 universities across the U.S.
Fulbright Scholar Program The Fulbright Program is the U.S government s flagship program in international educational exchange Provides funding for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools This year UC Davis is hosting 10 Fulbright Visiting Scholars from Burkina Faso, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, India, Italy, Serbia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Uganda (2015-2016) UC Davis faculty have received two Fulbright Scholar grants for Portugal (Physics) and Bhutan (Environmental Science and Policy) in (2015-2016)
Services for International Students and Scholars Visa and Immigration Services SISS assists international students and scholars obtain a visa to enter the United States. Additional services are provided to ensure continued legal status and employment authorization. SISS is also responsible for maintaining campus compliance with US government reporting requirements for international students and scholars. Programs to Welcome and Build Community SISS welcomes all international students and scholars, hosts orientations, and provides programs to create an inclusive campus community that embraces international students, scholars and their families.

Seed Grants for International Activities Since 2001, we have funded 180 innovative programs aimed at advancing knowledge, enriching student learning and solving society s most pressing problems. Total seed grant funding of over $1,700,000 has generated over $40,000,000 in external funds 1:1 matching funding from the dean is required. Depending on matching funds, the total grant amount could be $30,000. The annual call and deadline is in fall quarter. All recipients will be required to attend an on-campus workshop organized jointly with Global Affairs and the Office of Research that will offer assistance in articulating faculty research interests and identifying which agencies they want to meet with in order to secure external funding. A trip to Washington D.C., organized jointly with the UC Federal Governmental Relations Office, will provide an opportunity for faculty to meet with relevant federal agencies, to present their research and learn about the agencies' priorities. UC Davis Academic Senate faculty members and Academic Federation faculty with PI status are eligible to apply. All UC Davis locations are eligible.
