Authorized by: Wings Spaghetti Dinner Dear Whiner, My wife and I were lodge members 20 yrs ago, we moved and haven t been in since. We stopped in recently on a Friday nite. Wow what a lot of changes, (except for the bar steward, Donna, she hasn t changed at all). New floors, chairs, paint, a lot of upgrades outdoors. But where are the members? The place hardly had anyone in it. We remember Friday nights at the Moose when there used to be, dances, fish fries, meat draws, lots of laughing, and members having a good night out. Is the lodge losing members? Old timers, Mr. & Mrs Henry Tired Dear Mr & Mrs. Tired, A lot of changes have taken place. As for losing members, I dont know how many was on the role in your day, but, today I think we re holding steady at about 400-500 members, including the W.O.T.M.. As for the lack of crowd on Friday nights, Summer is a slow time of year for almost any private club, plus, we have had a hard time getting members to volunteer at various functions. Although there is a limited number of volunteers that support our lodge, we still try to maintain F.U.N. (Fellowship, Unity, and New members.) That said, our lodge is still able to provide a great Fall/Winter schedule for the membership to come out and enjoy. Yours truly, Whiner
