The Human Resurces department thrugh its Emplyment sectin and Equity and Access department strive t ensure Texas State University recruits and retains, nly the best, and diverse staff. This is derived by assisting the search cmmittee members identify and select nly the best, diverse applicants. This is achieved by creating multiple resurces and guidelines t help make the selectin successful. 4

Search Cmmittee A search cmmittee is a very imprtant part f an effective staff search prcess. The cmmittee is made up f ne r mre individuals wh knw and understand the jb requirements and preferred requirements f a psitin and are willing t assure the selected applicant has the qualificatins t prmte the missin and gals f the department and the university. When selecting the cmmittee it is recmmended there be a diverse grup f members reviewing all applicant dcuments s as t help get the mst qualified individual fr the psitin.
