COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED AT WWW.GGBCF.ORG Fill out one application at www.ggbcf.org/scholarships to apply for scholarships offered through the Community Foundation. Many of these scholarship funds offer more than one award. Renewable: After the scholarship award period, previous recipients may reapply. One year, non-renewable: The scholarship is available to the recipient for one year only, and the student cannot reapply in future years. Multi-year: If award recipient meets minimum performance standards, remains enrolled and provides proof of enrollment, and other criteria, the scholarship will continue to be paid for the number of years stated. Clifford Family Athletic Scholarship Amount: Up to $1,250 for one year, non-renewable Requirements: Applicants must be a graduating Green Bay Southwest High School student who will attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Applicants must have demonstrated participation as a student athlete for four seasons during high school. This could be four seasons in one sport, two seasons in two sports, or any combination of sports involvement that equals four seasons of participation. Additional requirements: Upload an essay on how athletic participation enhanced timemanagement skills, leadership skills and the way you deal with adversity. Anton C. and Lottie M. Delmont Scholarship Requirements: Applicant must be a student from a Green Bay or De Pere high school who will attend an accredited college, university or technical college. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, financial need and extracurricular activities. Emil & Gail Fischer Scholarship of the N.E.W. Master Gardeners Association N.E.W. Master Gardeners Association Horticulture Scholarship Amount: Minimum of $1,000 for one year, renewable Fields of Study: Horticulture-related field (Agriculture, botany, plant ecology, horticulture science, forestry, entomology, plant pathology, plant science or landscape horticulture) Requirements: Applicant must attend or plan to attend a two- or four-year accredited college or university and be studying horticulture or related major. Applicant may be a high school senior, an enrolled college student or a returning student. This application requires an essay about the applicant's interests in horticulture, any field experience completed and future plans. Qualified applicants will be

considered for both scholarships with a single scholarship application. Tom Garrity Memorial Scholarship Requirements: Applicant must be a current or former member of the Junior/Senior Green Bay Classic Traveling Bowling League from Brown, Oconto, Kewaunee or Door counties. Must be planning to attend or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution and have a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher. Requires an essay about the applicant s plans and why he or she should receive this scholarship, as well as proof of participation in the bowling league. Awards based on financial need and essay. Great Expectations Scholarship Amount: $40,000 over four years (need based) or a minimum of $4,000 over four years (merit based) Requirements: Applicant must be a graduating Brown County high school senior with exceptional academic ability and promise. Scholarships are available only to those attending the most selective universities in the nation. A list of qualifying universities and colleges is available to view or print. Additional requirements include an essay that reflects and discusses the applicant s character and how it relates to future plans, three letters of recommendation, and a copy of the application or acceptance letter to the college or university listed. Both types of scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, character and proof of college acceptance. Demonstrated financial need is a strong consideration for the need-based scholarship, but is not the overriding factor for the merit- based award. Green Bay Press-Gazette Scholarship Requirements: Applicant must be a graduating Brown County high school student planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year post-secondary institution. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, community service, extracurricular activities and academic performance (e.g., test scores and G.P.A.). Fran Growt Memorial Scholarship Amount: $1,500 for one year, non-renewable Requirements: The scholarship was created in memory of Fran Growt and her dedication to quality education for the children of De Pere. Applicant must be a graduating De Pere High School senior. Application requires a creative essay on one of several topics. Scholarship awarded based on expressiveness of written statement, financial need and related circumstances, G.P.A. and activities. Gordon & Elmyra Hobbs Scholarship for Crandon High School Amount: $4,000 for two years (technical degrees) or $8,000 for 2 years (bachelor s degree), renewable. Additional awards are available for those pursuing a Master s Degree in Accounting or Business. Fields of Study: Business, Accounting or Related Major preferred for undergraduate degrees, required for master s degree. Requirements: The Gordon & Elmyra Hobbs Scholarship is designed to encourage graduates of Crandon High School to pursue post-secondary education in accounting and business. Applicant must attend or have graduated from Crandon High School and plan to attend an accredited technical college, university,

or graduate business program. All scholarships require a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 (or 2.0 college G.P.A.) and 1.5 high school course credits in business education. The technical degree scholarship requires applicant to have completed 3 high school course credits in math, and the bachelor s degree scholarship requires 4 math credits. Talk to your counselor early to learn what courses may qualify as business education. An additional one-page essay (1250 characters) responding to one of a choice of questions is required. See application for topics. Robert Huben Memorial Scholarship Amount: $1,250 for one year, non-renewable Requirements: Applicant must be a Green Bay West High School senior or graduate who will attend a two-year or four-year fully accredited college or university. Drew Elliott Johnson Mathletic Scholarship Amount: $500 per year for four years, non-renewable Requirements: Applicant must be a graduate of Ashwaubenon High School and a member of the Ashwaubenon High School math team who will pursue a four-year degree at an accredited four-year college or university. Application requires an essay about future plans and how the Ashwaubenon Math Team contributed to those decisions. Awarded based on essay, academic performance, extracurricular and community service activities and honors or awards. Lucille F. Larsen Denmark High School Scholarship Amount: $500 for one year, non-renewable Fields of Study: Education or Teaching Requirements: Applicant must be a graduate of Denmark High School who will pursue a career in teaching at a Wisconsin college or university. Application requires an essay describing applicant s favorite teacher and the factors that made him or her a favorite. Scholarship awarded based on financial need, academic performance, community service and tutoring or teaching experience. Dale & Kay Lyndahl Family Scholarship Amount: $1,000 for one year, renewable upon reapplication (for all) Fields of Study: Science, Technology, Engineering or Math Requirements: Applicant must be a graduating senior of Green Bay West High School or Green Bay Southwest High School who intends to pursue a degree in any STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) field at a two-year or four-year fully accredited college or university. Coach Earl (Mike) Miller Scholarship Amount: Up to $1,000 for one year, non-renewable Requirements: Applicant must be a participant on the Green Bay West High School varsity football team or have satisfactorily completed a social studies course. Scholarship recipient must attend a four-year fully accredited college or university. Audrey Nelsen Teacher Scholarship Amount: Up to $1,000 for one year, non-renewable Fields of Study: Education, Art, Foreign Languages, English/Writing, History

Requirements: Applicant must be a graduate of an Oconto County high school who plans to pursue a degree in teaching. Applicant must intend to pursue a four-year degree at an accredited college or university and a career in teaching. Application requires an essay describing applicant s favorite teacher and the factors that made him or her a favorite. Scholarship awarded based on financial need, academic performance, community service and tutoring or teaching experience. J. Richard Oltmann Memorial Scholarship Amount: Between $2,500-$5,000 for one year, non-renewable Requirements: Applicants must be an employee of an American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) member company or an immediate family member of an employee of the AAMA member company. Applicant must be a high school senior entering freshman year as a full-time student at a twoyear or four-year fully accredited college or university. Pomp s/wochinske Scholarship Amount: $500 and $1,000 scholarships per year for two years, renewable after second year Requirements: Scholarship is designed to encourage dependents of Pomp s Tire employees who are high school graduates to pursue post-secondary education at a two- or four-year accredited technical school, college or university. Applicant may be a high school senior, current college student or returning student. Applicant must submit an essay answering the question: To date who has been the most influential person in your life and what life lessons have you learned from that relationship? Scholarships awarded based on financial need, academic performance, work experience, extracurricular activities and essay. Rotary Club 279 Scholarship Fields of Study: Business Related Field Requirements: Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Green Bay high school (Green Bay East, Green Bay West, Southwest, Preble, Notre Dame, or NEW Lutheran) planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Scholarships are awarded based on community service and financial need. Sieg GSW Girls Basketball Scholarship Amount: $650 for one year, distributed for the second semester of the freshman year, non-renewable Field of Study: All Majors Accepted Requirements: Applicant must be graduating from either Gillett High School or Green Bay Southwest High School and have been involved with the girls basketball team (player or manager) at either school. Application requires an essay: How basketball made a difference in my life. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, financial need and essay. Thomas and Kopchinski Scholarship Requirements: Applicant must be a Green Bay Southwest or East High School graduating student with at least a 2.3 G.P.A. Application requires an essay about applicant s future aspirations and goals. Scholarship based on financial need, and applicant s motivation for success in a post-secondary setting.

Trowbridge Merit Scholarship Amount: Between $500-$1,000 for one year, non-renewable Fields of Study: Law Requirements: Applicant must be a legal resident of Brown County or have previously resided in Brown County for at least five years. Applicant must be a student in good standing after completing one or two years of law school. Application requires applicant s resume and statement of career objectives. Scholarships based on law-related community service, student activities and career objectives. IMPORTANT: Online application not required. Application requires an additional essay about how this scholarship will further applicant s career goals. Scholarship awarded based on financial need, leadership, and community service. Sy and Bernice Ward Scholarship Amount: $500 and $1,000 award, renewable Fields of Study: Business, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Technology Requirements: Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Brown County high school with plans to pursue a degree in technology, medicine, nursing, education, engineering, business, accounting or law.
