Message from Mayor Burcroff Happy April It s a busy month in the City of Romulus and a busy month at the Romulus Senior Center. Before we get to April news, please mark your calendar for Monday, May 7, the date of the fifth annual Mother s Day Brunch starting at 10 a.m. at the Senior Center. I invite all mothers (and fathers who also served as mothers) to the luncheon. Admission is free. I dedicate the luncheon to my own mom Shirley, who passed away in 1993 but remains in my heart and mind every day. I credit mom for helping make me the man I am today. Mrs. Burcroff taught science and gym at Romulus High School then raised seven children. She was giving, kind and sweet, loving all of us unconditionally. Mothers are truly a blessing from God. While I have your attention, I hope I can interest you in some of our citywide events in April. Everyone is invited to a Resident Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at City Hall, 11111 Wayne Road. City staff will be able to answer questions and provide up-to-date information.
