Public Hearing and Introductory Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to amend the City of Laredo Police Department budget in the amount of $51,164.49 for a grant awarded by the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for the Violent Crime Grant under the 2018 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) for the period of October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018 and to add one FTE for a Crime Victims Service Coordinator position. This grant will fund the Crime Victims Service Coordinator position for the Domestic Awareness Service Program. The grant awarded is in the amount of $33,256.92 and the City of Laredo will be responsible for a match of $17,907.57 (35%) of the grant funds.
