With a bachelors in Recreation, Sport & Tourism I was undecided about the direction I wanted to go in; but working here has helped me realize that campus recreation is a profession I could see myself making a career of my own one day. Jamil Henderson, Director s Intern Working at Campus Recreation has been one of the best decisions I ve made since coming to the University of Illinois. I was able to complete an internship as well as take advantage of the promotional opportunities and cross-employment. The shifts worked around my class schedule, and I always felt that there was a significant emphasis on school coming first. As a bonus, I got to make and work with great friends. With the wide variety of positions and facilities, I do believe it is a place for everyone. Nicole Robinson, Student Development Grad Assistant & HR Intern The significant impacts of my employment at Campus Recreation were the student and professional development, great mentorship, and lifelong friends. I enjoy giving back to the campus community and developing the skills of fellow students. Alejandro Gonzalez, Facility Management Program Assistant
