The following are local scholarships for which you may apply. Check the number to each scholarship(s) you are applying for. 2. Fill all pages out completely. This single application is used for each of the scholarships. The directions are listed below. 3. The application MUST BE typed. Include the list of scholarships with those checked that you are applying for. 6. Applications are due in the Hilltop Guidance Office by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Scholarships: 1. Nathan Ashenfelter Memorial: Male who participates in athletics. No specific GPA but needs to be a student who works hard in their course work. Also would like an essay of 500 words or less why they are deserving of the scholarship. Space available at end of application for essay. 2. Hilltop Athletic Boosters: Has participated in Athletics. Preference given to children of Athletic Booster members. 3. Church Women United: Grades, character, GPA, and need. 4. James Clark Memorial Scholarship: GPA 3.0, plans to major in Visual or Performing Arts, Art Education, Art History, or Architecture at 2 or 4 years college. 5. Ron & Larry Dean Scholarship: Prefer Business major. GPA 3.0, shows leadership, and a positive attitude. 6. Millcreek-West Unity Education Association: Plans to major in Education. 7. Harold and Teresa Jones Memorial Scholarship: Prefer Education or Business major. Financial need. 8. Bill and Mary Hollingshead: Attending a 4-year college preferably in Ohio. In athletics preferably in track and field. 9. KAMCO Industries: Financial needs, overall achievement, leadership. Must be enrolling as a fulltime student at a 4-year college or university. 10. Kiwanis Scholarship: Financial need. Must attend the Kiwanis Luncheon in June. 11. Lion s Club: Financial need, grades. 12. William Robertson McKinney Scholarship: Education major, planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college. Preference given to social studies major. 13. Music Boosters: One Vocal and one Band Senior attending 2 or 4 year college. 14. Omnibus Club: Planning to attend Post-Secondary institution. Preference given to relatives of club members. 15. Charles Sumner Scholarship: Major in a Science-related field. 16. Mary Gares Suter Scholarship: Major in Education. Preference given to Elementary Education major. 17. Mary L. Thomas Scholarship Major in Education, preference given to Elementary Education major. 18. Three Arts Club: Main consideration is financial need, and scholarship. Preference given to relatives of club members. 19. West Unity Chamber of Commerce: Seniors currently enrolled in Millcreek-West Unity School and preparing to enroll full-time at a community college, university, or technical school program. Some aspect of business as an intended major. 20. West Unity Methodist Church Memorial Scholarship: Preference given to members of the West Unity United Methodist Church. 21.
