Competitiveness Cluster EMC2 (Complex Composite and Metallic Assemblies) had been granted as a Competitiveness Cluster by the French government in July 2005. It was created to strengthen the industrial competitiveness of the mechanical engineering and material companies In 2012, EMC2 label is renewed by the French Government for a new five years period (2013-2017). 2

Industrial Competitiveness EMC2 links up hiring firms, small and medium-sized companies, research laboratories and universities around collaborative innovation projects to help regional manufacturers and the region itself to develop and stay in the lead. 3
