Representative professions would be found in the restaurant/hospitality industry, healthcare and teaching. Contributor: Children of Ann Truax Dehlinger, a 1937 graduate of Mosinee High School Amount of Each Scholarship: $500 (paid out second semester) Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: One Applicants must be intending to enroll in an accredited college, university or technical school program leading to a profession devoted to service of others. Applicants should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Applicants should have demonstrated personal integrity and self sacrifice through service to the community, school and religious affiliation. Financial need will be taken into account in considering recipient. Applicants are to complete a General Scholarship Application, checking this scholarship under Community Scholarships and a Financial Need form and return it to the Student Services office by the due date. Dominic J. Schipferling Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Number: 239 Contributors: The Schipferling Family Amount of Each Scholarship: $1,000 Scholarships to be Awarded: One Applicant should have a GPA of 3.0 or better. Scholarship may be used at any accredited technical or four year college. Applicants should have qualities similar to the ones described below. Dominic Schipferling was a 1999 MHS graduate. He was a beneficiary of this wonderful scholarship program, which helped him obtain his degree from UW-Milwaukee. Dominic left us due to an automobile accident in the summer of 2006. After Dominic s death, we were deeply touched by the number of Dominic s teachers who came to pay their respects and the kind words they said. I was approached by Dominic s kindergarten teacher, whom I didn t recognize. She just wanted me to know that she remembered Dominic after all those years. She told me that he was just one of those kids you never forget. Dominic s teachers all seemed to echo the same sentiment Dominic was the one student who kept the class fired up and motivated. As one teacher stated, I could always count on Dominic to breathe some life into my class. He accomplished this with his passion for life and his wonderful sense of humor. With that in mind, this scholarship will go to the student who breathed life into his classes.
