Review and Approval of Minutes: 4/6/2015 Motion Ryan Second Sandi Since Menifee didn t have agendas and minutes, reading and approval of minutes will tables for next meeting III. ICC Club Reports & Information A. ICC President/Meeting Chair Royce Art gallery competition. B. ICC Club Reps Comm Guest speaker Robb Braun on April 23 on the Menifee campus. SWANS Bra Drive with SART. Victims of Sexual assault. Help victims with dignity. Will have boxes in room 514 The talon accepting club blurbs. Deadline to submit items is April 15. Having a guest speaker on April 14 th. APIC Movie day room changed from 407 to 600. Anthropology club- Age of gold film series on April 15 th and 16 th from 6-8 and 2-4 in rooms 415 and 416 (Menifee). Mu Alpha theta- April 24 th math competition in room 805 from 10-2. Active Minds Kognito training will be in the Eagle access center. The event has already been approved by a previous meeting. History club On April 16 th in collaboration with the history department there will be a transfer workshop for history majors at 12:30 in room 407 (Menifee). There will also have their movie battle of folgiers on the 17 th at 6:30 in room 407. ISU No report in room 408. April 28 Q & A Forum on Islam in room 600. Heart of Art Student show in gallery at SJC. Applications available to all students from this academic year. Application timeline is April 20-30 th except Tuesday at mvc.. One professor must nominate. Applications available at both SGA offices. Really hope students from MVC will participate. C. ICC Advisor Sandi- Down to last few meetings. Recommends having club elections for next year before May 4 th which is the last ICC meeting for the semester. It is also the deadline for all events and club membership forms. Nordson Builds scholarship for STEM majors. Apply if interested. Student Recognition Ceremony AdHoc planning meeting every Thursday. Deadline for advisors nominate club officers and members for
awards is April 23. If we could get headshot for nominees that would be good. We can get rid of B, C, and E under the discussion/action items as we don t need them for the rest of the semester. Additions/Deletions to the Agenda Motion Neff Second Kaitlin This section of the agenda is reserved for additions/deletions to the ICC agenda at the discretion of the SGA Advisor or Support Specialist with the consideration of California state law. All proper documentation must be completed and present in order for these items to be accepted. Comm club April 23 - guest speaker Robb Braun from 12:30-1:30 at the Menifee campus in room 407. Motion passes for approval of minutes with amendments IV. Public Comment This time is reserved for members of the public to address the Inter-Club Council on issues not already appearing on the agenda. A limit of 5 minutes per speaker and 20 minutes per topic shall be enforced. No public comment V. Discussion Items/Action Items: (Can be discussed and voted on at the same time) Motion Neff Second Kevin A limit of 1 minute and a half per speaker and 6 minutes per discussion item will be enforced. A. Learning outcomes survey for campus clubs & SGA B. Shared Governance Committees Contact Sandi Uhri, suhrig@msjc.edu for committee information. C. SGA/ICC Student Recognition Ceremony Committee Volunteers Send logos to the ICC e-mail address. Meetings are every Thursday from 12:30-1:30. Bring club members. Need more involvement from clubs. They will be awarded 10 $100 scholarships. D. Club photos to website and student recognition ceremony Please send club photos/event photos to icc.msjc@gmail.com to be added to the campus website and the student recognition ceremony. E. Collaboration Planning an event? Consider co-hosting/organizing the event with other clubs on campus. Use the ICC meetings as a place to connect with other clubs. Michael said that we ve been great at collaborating with others. We ve had great ideas. Keep it up. Sandi said we don t need items B, C and E on the agendas anymore. A & D ITEMS PASS VI. A. Creative Writing club: Martial arts movie event that we are planning to host on April 17th. Event will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Menifee Valley campus, held in room 407. They will be showing Ip Man 1, Ip Man 2, Ong Bak, and a fourth movie provided that we still have time. Hoping to use this event as both a fundraiser to boost our clubs revenue, and to be a social gathering for the public. All clubs are encouraged and welcome to come to this event. B. Mu Alpha Theta Math Contest: April 24 th at the Menifee campus in room 805 from 10am-1pm. Event is open to all students. C. Swans: 1. Temecula Teen Safety Expo: 4/18 1300-1600 Where: Temecula Promenade Mall. We will be educating teens about first aid. We will be bringing items we use for splinting, bandaids, etc. 2. City of Perris Health and Wellness Fair 4/25 at 1000. We will be giving information regarding nutrition, physical fitness. Handouts/information. 3. City of Beaumont Cherry Festival and Parade 6/06/15: Volunteers will be provided a flat-bed truck and decorations to promote the MSJC nursing dept. D. SJC & MVC STEM Club Student Led Lectures events 1. Student Led lecture: 3D Printers April 10 th (SJC) from 2-4pm in room 200. April 17 (MVC) from 2-4pm in room 416. 2. Student Led Lecture: CRISPR - April 17 th (SJC) from 2-4pm in room 200. April 24 (MVC) from 2-4pm in room 416. 3. Student Led Lecture: International Space Station - April 24 th (SJC) from 2-4pm in room 200. May 8th (MVC) from 2-4pm in room 416. 4. Student Led Lecture: Asteroid Harvesting May 8th (SJC) from 2-4pm in room 200. May 15th (MVC) from 2-4pm in room 416. E. PTK Events: 1. Approve Phi theta kappa Induction ceremony April 26th from 9am to 4:30pm. 2. Change Applebee's fundraiser date to April 25th at 8am to 10am instead of May 2 from 8am to 10am F. Amnesty International Fundraiser - April 7th to May 13th at the Menifee campus and will have donations from outside organizations as well as anyone who wishes to donate. It is meant to help fund our guest lecturer event, the Miko Peled one, and to contact Professor Shahla Razavi at srazavi@msjc.edu with any questions or donations. G.
