Proposed rule would require State Agencies to assess LWP compliance as part of the general areas of the administrative review.

ISBE Monitoring of LWP How does the public know about the LWP? When and how does the review and update of the LWP occur? Who is involved in reviewing and updating the LWP? (administrator, food service, teacher, nurse, parent, community, representative from health dept, extension office, wellness center, etc) How are potential stakeholders made aware of their ability to participate in the development, review, update and implementation of the LWP? The annual assessment must be documented and the results must be made available to the public. FY14- LEAS will be accountable for local school wellness policy implementation, assessment and public updates.
