Note from MG Hans Van Winkle, USA (Ret.) I am sorry that I cannot attend the Farewell Heidelberg ceremony, but want to say hello to all my friends, associates, and fellow engineers. It will certainly be a nostalgic ceremony, but we all can take pride in the many accomplishments of the engineering community that did so much to support the soldiers and families in the European theatre. My tour in Heidelberg as the DCSENG from 1995 until 1997 was one of the highlights of my 32 year career, one that my family and I will never forget. Thanks to all for so many contributions.

1997 Bob Cadow, Heidelberg Post President, presents a plaque to European Space Agency s Jocelyne Landeau Constantin and thanks Post member Sandra Zettersten for arranging the visit.

Memory from Col Steven T. Rose, USAFR, FSAME I want to thank the Heidelberg Post specifically for our long running Kaiserslautern v. Heidelberg golf challenges. Stationed at HQ USAFE from 1989 to 1999, I thoroughly enjoyed the friendly rivalry on the links. Both Golf courses were beautiful and having the winner host the following year's challenge always made for friendly competition. Most importantly, it made for an amazing run of scholarship fundraising for both Posts!! This is definitely an end of an era!!! Thank you to all that were members over the years."
