D Iberville Police Department Monthly Report 3 HOT SPOT POLICING GRANT MARCH 2017 STATS OVERALL ARRESTS BY HOTSPOT POSITION: 26 RETAIL CRIMES ARRESTS BY HOTSPOT POSITION: 25 RETAIL CRIMES REPORTS TAKEN BY HOTSPOT POSITION: 42 TOTAL REPORTS TAKEN/FOLLOW UPS BY HOTSPOT POSITION: 22 TOTAL RETAIL CRIMES REPORTS TAKEN BY DPD: 43 SHOPLIFTING: 29 CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 14 EMBEZZLMENT: 1 MONTHLY HIGHTLIGHTS: The Retail Crimes Unit arrested a subject that was part of an organized retail crimes group using the identifying information of victims to open charge accounts at retailers from Louisiana to Florida. Nearly $30,000 in fraudulently obtained Iphones were recovered as well as over $1000 in clothing. This investigation is still ongoing. Patrol Division Current Traffic Issues The D Iberville Police Department will be running radar at the following locations during the month of March 2017. o Popps Ferry Road o Highway 15 o Brodie Road o All School Zones at peak times March 2017 activities for Patrol Patrol found 11 open/ unsecure doors. Patrol generated 411 incident reports and 179 arrests. Patrol officers conducted 36 field interviews Patrol officers worked 85 accidents. D Iberville Police Department Monthly Report 4 Officer of the Month for March 2017 Officer Tim Landry Patrol Officer, Tim Landry, is a valuable asset to the D Iberville Police Department s team. He handles the departments social media sites and writes the departments column for The D Iberville Buzz, the city newsletter. He has helped D Iberville Police Department become more educated with Power DMS and has recently become a member of the City of D Iberville s Site Redevelopment Commission. The extra time and effort that Officer Landry puts into the D Iberville Police Department does not go un-noticed! This is why we are selecting Officer Tim Landry for Officer of the Month for March 2017. GREAT JOB OFFICER LANDRY! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! D Iberville Police Department Officer Profile Meet Your Police Officers Patrol Officer Nathan Corr Officer Nathan Corr was born and raised in Bay St. Louis, MS. He attended high school at St. Stanislaus College Prep in Bay St. Louis. After graduating, Officer Corr attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a bachelor s of science degree in Forensic Science. Officer Corr joined the Bay St. Louis Police Department as a reserve in May of 2013 and attained a full-time position in February of 2015. Officer Corr has received extensive training in the field of Accident Reconstruction and obtained his certification as an Accident Reconstruction Specialist in the State of Mississippi in November of 2016. He recently joined the D'Iberville Police Department in March of 2017 where he serves as a full-time patrolman.

D Iberville Police Department Monthly Report 5 Special Services Division Activities for March 2017 School Resource Officers: Arrests- 7 (Knapp 3, Nobles 1,Ramsey 1, Donald -2) Incident Reports 20(Knapp 10, Nobles 5, Ramsey 2,Donald -3) Accidents- 3(Knapp 1, Nobles 1, Ramsey 0, Donald-1) Citations- 30(Knapp 30, Nobles 0, Ramsey 0,Donald -0) o SROs had a possession of marijuana arrest at the High School, and an arrest for possession of a weapon (razor blade) at the Middle School. Reserve Officers: Reserve Officers worked several school sporting events to include Baseball and Softball games. Reserve Officers provided traffic control and a police presence for the St. Jude s Bass Tournament. Weapons Training / Use of Force Training was held for reserve officers on a Saturday and 15 officers received 4 hours of state certified training. Reserve Officers provided security and traffic control for the D Iberville Landing Event. Reserve Officers supplemented patrol and worked DUI safety checkpoints. Community Relations: We held two community block parties to form new neighborhood watch programs in Oakcrest and Whetstone neighborhoods. Explorers: Explorers are still raffling a crawfish table to raise money for the explorer academy, and moved the drawing date to May 5 th.
