Company s 5th photo contest TheIgnatian View 18 summer 2006 We hope you get as much enjoyment out of our fifth photo contest s winners and honorable mentions as we did opening the many e-mails and envelopes sent to us containing photos with an Ignatian touch. We ve been holding the contest every two years; the vast majority of photos we received for the first contest (Summer 1998) were prints, but there were some electronic submissions as well. Over the years, over the contests, that ratio has flipped completely as digital cameras and e-mail addresses have become standard equipment for so many more people. The number of submissions has changed over the years as well; the more than 800 photos submitted for this contest was almost double what we received for the 04 contest. First-place winners receive $250, second-place winners $100, third-place winners $50, and the honorable mentions $25. Company extends congratulations to the photographers whose work appears on these pages and sends thanks to all the readers who took the time to submit photos.
