Dr. (Mrs.) Moorttimatee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD was invited to deliver a lecture on Copyright vs. Authors, Publishers and Librarians on 28 th August, 2012 in the National Workshop on Intellectual Property Right with reference to Patents and Copyrights organized by Mizoram University in collaboration with DRDO and INFLIB-NET. She also acted as one of the panelist in the panel discussion on Protecting intellectual output in knowledge society. 3. Textbook Archive at the NCERT Library A Gateway to Research in Education, written by Dr. (Mrs.) Moorttimatee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD was published in ICT Based Information Management in Indian Libraries Festschrift in honour of Prof. (Dr.) K.C. Sahoo published by BOOKWELL, New Delhi in 2012. 4. Application of TQM in NCERT Library: A case study written by Dr. (Mrs.) Moorttimatee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD was published in Information Age, ISSN: 0973-7073, Vol. 6 (2), Nagpur, 2012. pp 13-19. 5. Collection management in public libraries: with special reference to North-East India written by Dr. (Mrs.) Moorttimatee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD was published in Seminar Proceedings, edited by R.K. Burman published by DLIS, University of Guwahati, 2012. 6. NCERT celebrated its 51 st Foundation Day on 1 st September, 2012. LIBRARY AND DOCUMENTATION DIVISION (Oct. Dec. 2012) 1. LDD organized a Book Exhibition on Mathematics & Science Education on 9 th October, 2012 at Science Park Annexe, NCERT Campus. 2. Dr. (Mrs.) Moorttimatee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD attended a seminar on Knowledge sharing on sustainable development: Role of Libraries organized by J.N.U. on 1 st November, 2012 in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre. 3. Dr. (Mrs.) Moorttimatee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD was invited to chair a session in the 29 th Convention & Conference of SIS on Information Innovation Technology: creating Seamless Linkages of SIS at NIT, Silchar to present the paper entitled Copyright & Information Literacy during 26-28 th November, 2012. 4. Dr. (Mrs.) Moorttimatee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD attended 14 th Meeting of Documentation and Information Sectional Committee, MSD 5 on 14 th December, 2012 at BIS, Manak Bhawan, New Delhi and also selected by the Members as Convener for MSD 5/P-7 Panel on Library related standards. 5. Mrs. Pooja Jain, Assistant Librarian attended the panel discussion on Transcending the Boundaries of Vision: Managing digital content in the mainstream libraries for the print disabled DELNET Developing Library Network & DAISY Forum of India organized by DELNET on 15 th December, 2012 at IIC, New Delhi. 6. LDD organized DAB (Departmental Advisory Board) on 26 th December, 2012 at LDD, NCERT. 7. The following group of students and teachers visited LDD as part of their educational tour: 82 B.Ed. students of Academic of Business Management, Ghaziabad (U.P.) on 3 rd October, 2012. 37 participants (PGT in English) attended Training Programme in DEL given orientation about library on 22 nd November, 2012.
LIBRARY AND DOCUMENTATION DIVISION (January March 2013) 1. Dr. Mrs. Moortimattee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD attended a seminar on Reading and Library Culture: The Role of NGOs at India International Centre in collaboration with National Book Trust on 5 th January, 2013. 2. Dr. Mrs. Moortimattee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD was invited as an expert for PAC approved programme entitled WGM for Development of DPR for Digital Library and LRUC held during 16 th to 18 th January, 2013 at PSSCIVE, Bhopal. 3. Mrs. Pooja Jain, Assistant Librarian, LDD participated in the 103 rd Orientation Programme organised by the Academic Staff College, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi from 21 st January 2013 to 19 th February, 2013. 4. Paper published - Jain, Pooja and Babbar, Parveen (2013) Cloud Computing Models, Services and IT infrastructure application for NCERT and its constituent units. A preliminary vision paper published at the International Conference on Academic Libraries, New Delhi, 12-15 February 2013 5. Dr. Mrs. Moortimattee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD was invited as a Resource Person for a national workshop on Awareness Programme on Digital Library during 11 th to 14 th March, 2013 by Manipur University, Imphal in collaboration with National Library, Kolkata and delivered a lecture on TRENDS AND PERSPECTIVES IN DIGITAL LIBRARIES. 6. Dr. Mrs. Moortimattee Samantaray, Deputy Librarian and Head, LDD delivered a script entitled, National Library: The Glory of India broadcasted by Overseas Radio, A.I.R., New Delhi on 28 th March, 2013. Visitors to LDD Groups of students and teachers from different educational institutes visited LDD as part of their educational tour: 35 B.L.I.Sc. Students along with three faculty members of Department of Library & Information Science, AEC, Training College and Centre Pachmarhi (M.P.) 461881 visited LDD on 8 th February, 2013. 180 B.Ed. students as a part of their educational tour from Amethi visited LDD on 26 th February, 2013. A group of 125 B.Ed. students from New Adarsh Institute of Education, Loni, Ghaziabad visited LDD on 28 th February, 2013. Group of 100 B.Ed. students from Institute of Vocational Studies, Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi visited Library on 7 th March, 2013. 97 B.Ed. students along with faculty members from Ideal Institute of Management and technology (G.G.S.), Indraprastha University, Delhi visited LDD on 13 th March, 2013. 7 B.Ed. students with 3 faculty members from Sankalp Institute of Education, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad visited LDD on 22 nd March, 2013.
