2015 IEEE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON IDENTITY, SECURITY AND BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Hong Kong 23 rd March 25 th March

Welcome Message Message from General and Technical Program Chairs On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to welcome you to the first edition of IEEE International Conference on Identity, Security and Behavior Analysis the new conference series for the biometric community. This conference is sponsored by the IEEE Biometrics Council. While there are several conferences on biometrics, the council advisory committee (AdCom) felt that a conference dedicated to identity, security and behavioral analysis solely sponsored by the IEEE Biometrics Council is needed to address issues that connect these themes as well as topics that are not traditionally covered by biometrics conferences. The conference received 57 papers. With great help from 77 reviewers the program chairs were able to manage the review process of the submissions. We sincerely thank the reviewers for their dedication and for volunteering their time and effort. Needless to say, without them we could not have done it. To choose the papers for the conference, we used the judgment of the reviewers to rank the papers. Based on the reviewers recommendations, the program chairs deliberated on all the submissions, except for those co-authored by a program chair. Non-conflicting program chair(s) handled the latter types of papers. The selected technical program is composed of a diverse set of novel contributions presented in oral and poster presentations. There are 14 papers that will be presented in four oral sessions, which is 24% of the submitted papers. Five more papers in a short oral session, and 9 other papers presented in two poster sessions. Each poster paper will also be presented in spotlight oral introduction, just proceeding the corresponding poster session. The program also consists of one plenary speech, two tutorials of advanced topics, and one panel session on emerging challenges in human identity and behavioral security of the security to enrich the conference program. We would like to thank each of our sponsors. NEC Hong Kong, The IET Publishing, Department of Computing and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University are graciously and generously sponsoring this conference. We also would like to thank the former and current Presidents of the IEEE Biometrics Council, Prof. Tieniu Tan and Prof. Venu Govindaraju for their support in getting this conference up and running. We hope you will enjoy ISBA 2015 and have a pleasant stay at Hong Kong. You are part of history in the making! Technical Program Co-Chairs Brian Lovell, The University of Queensland, Australia Sudeep Sarkar, University of South Florida, USA Nasir Memon, New York University, USA Zhenan Sun, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China General Co-Chairs Rama Chellappa, University of Maryland, USA Josef Kittler, University of Surrey, UK Ajay Kumar, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong www.isba2015.org 3
