University Resources Funded by the National Science Foundation, PSLSAMP seeks to increase the number of ethnic minority students graduating and pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. Students receive a laptop computer, scholarship assistance, and valuable opportunities to engage in meaningful research with a faculty mentor and/or internships at other institutions. In collaboration with Georgia Institute of Technology, Savannah State University offers the Georgia Tech Regional Engineering time for class Program (GTREP) degrees in electrical, civil, computer and Web-based catalog access to over six million volumes mechanical engineering. GTREP students become Georgia Tech Galileo, an electronic library database of search engines students for their junior and senior years, but remain in or journals, encyclopedias, magazines and other information offered by the University System of Georgia Savannah rather than transferring to the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta, Georgia.
