NEW JERSEY CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION PUBLIC SAFETY TESTING Law Enforcement Status Report March/April 2017

ENTRY-LEVEL LAW ENFORCEMENT (LEE) In order to be considered for employment in an entry-level law enforcement position, candidates must pass a written exam called the Law Enforcement Examination (LEE). Those who pass will remain in the eligible pool for two years. The pool of eligible candidates that results from the LEE will be used to fill positions for law enforcement titles in all Civil Service jurisdictions. The announcement for the LEE was issued on July 1, 2016. Applications were accepted until August 31, 2016. Announcements for Parole Officer Recruit and Parole Officer Recruit Bilingual in Spanish and English were issued on June 1, 2016. The announcement for Correction Officer Recruit (State Corrections) was issued on July 1, 2016. Testing for the LEE began on October 22, 2016 and concluded on December 17, 2016.
