A reminder to students who will be switching schools next year to ensure their transportation has been organized. Whether the student is moving from elementary to middle school or middle school to high school, it is important that they know that their bus stop does not necessarily follow them from one school to the next. Parents and guardians are to make sure they have confirmed transportation for the next school year by contacting the board s transportation department at 902-541-8253. As part of our building security, it is necessary to have our doors closed at all times. Please be mindful of this when entering or leaving our school. Thank you!
Page 2 Student Supplies for 2017-2018 As in past years, classroom teachers would like to purchase the classroom supplies they require for the students themselves. By doing this, it ensures that all students have the same type and quality of supplies. Teachers are able to purchase in bulk, and therefore get better pricing. Parents would need to ensure their child has a lunch box, backpack and indoor/ outdoor sneakers. These supplies are for the entire school year and cover the basic supplies, such as duotangs, pencils, glue, and markers, along with supplies that would be required throughout the year based on the curriculum outcomes being covered at each grade level. Teachers purchase supplies throughout the year for their students for various topics and themes being covered in Science, Art and Social Studies, for example. We are asking parents to send in their child s supply money by June 26th. We do understand that not every family will be able to do so by this date, so we ask parents who are not able to send in supply money in June, to send in a note indicating that they will be sending it in on the first day of school. Cheques are to be made payable to. Families may also pay by installments. The supply money being collected for next year for each student in Grades Primary-Six will be $35.00. If parents have any questions or concerns, feel free to call the school at 688-3210.
