Academic News 2 General News/Sports 4 Employment 7 Important Information from the Security and Safety Department I n recent months, there has been an increase in thefts of Au dio/visual Equipment and ot her ty pes of electronic devices found on college campuses in the Philadelphia area. Unfortunately, La Salle University has not escaped being v ict im ized by t his rash of t hefts. Security and Safety, Physical Facilit ies, and Multi1VIedia Services are working together in a effort to combat and reduce t he occurrences of these types of thefts on our campuses. However, in addit ion to employing additional measures to secure equipment, assistance from t he ent ire cam pus community is essentia I. Please keep t he following t ips in m ind in regard to keeping University equipment safe from t heft: 1) Do not leave Universit y's equipment, that has been loa ned to you (signed out), unattended. This is most im portant as it concerns portable equipment. For example, projectors and lap top computers. Ret urn equipment prompt ly after use. 2) Do not prop open doors.
