PAGE 3 Student Happenings New Study Abroad Really Exciting Stuff in the College Agriculture Study Abroad is moving! As of August 9 we will be in room 26 AGAD. Please direct students to https://ag.purdue.edu/oap/pages/studyabroad.aspx, AGAD 26 or email AgAbroad@purdue.edu of Important dates: Wednesday, September 5 from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. is the campus wide study abroad fair. It will be held on the Memorial Mall Wednesday, September 19, from 5:30 7 p.m. Agriculture Study Abroad Fair on the lawn in front of AGAD. Students will have an opportunity to speak with faculty leading summer short term courses, as well as learn about other opportuni es available to all agriculture students. Spring Break courses for 2013 will feature two courses open to all agriculture students: Costa Rica and Italy Semester Exchange Programs there are s ll a few spaces available for spring semester programs. Also, students can begin to apply for fall semester 2013. There are numerous locations available for semester programs.

If you are able to assist us at the OAP display by talking with our alumni, prospec ve students and parents, please contact Tracie Egger (tegger@purdue.edu). College of Ag faculty and staff are needed to work at the display areas from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Shi s have been designated in 3 hour me blocks. Any me you can spend with us will be greatly appreciated! August 17th The College of Agriculture New Student Welcome and Carnival The College of Agriculture will host a New Student Welcome and Carnival on August 17 from 2:00 pm 4:00 pm on the lawn in front of Lilly Hall. Each Academic Dept. has been asked to facilitate a carnival game or food booth. Everyone in the College of Agriculture is welcome to a end and encouraged to do so! Deadline June 30, 2013 or until all funds are distributed Any student engaging in research under a professor in Agriculture may apply for a $500.00 grant on behalf of her or his professor. Since professors may incur significant costs in hosting undergraduate researchers, this is an opportunity for students to help defray some of your expenses.
