CareAtHome includes both the non-medical and medical inhome care for older adults. CareAtHome: Owner: Sandra Dunkel, Registered Nurse We provide non-medical in-home senior care and daily companionship for you or your loved one. Whether it is a Home Care Companion, a Home Health Aid or a Certified Nurse Assistant that you need, CareAtHome can provide the services you need. Sandy has a passion for seniors and serves as an advocate for families who find themselves in need of in-home care. We can help you through the myriad of care, payment, and insurance options. We are licensed with the State of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging Program as an in-home care provider and also work with the Veterans Aid and Attendance program, long-term care insurance companies, alongside hospice care, and private pay clients. Most importantly, we are here for you... to understand, evaluate and meet your needs. Our services are available for as little as 2 hours a day to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our ultimate goal is to promote aging in place, which simply means to keep you or your loved one At Home and remain independent with the care and assistance of our qualified caregiving staff. In order to join our staff, caregivers must demonstrate reliability, trustworthiness, loyalty, be compassionate and have a commitment for helping seniors. Caregiver/Aides/CNA Requirements Our registry includes: Home Companions Home Health Aides Certified Nursing Assistants Each Position Requires: Pennsylvania or criminal background investigation (updated every 2 years). Candidates who have not lived in Pennsylvania for a period of two years are subject to a mandatory FBI criminal background check. Current Tuberculosis Test - completed upon hire and updated yearly References (3 prior employments and 3 personal) Recordation of certifications or education Proof of Identification (Driver s license, Social Security Number) Proof of Automobile Insurance Companion Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of experience caring for a loved one Car is required Cooking, homemaking skills Home Health Aid/CNA Requirements Must have 2 years of experience in an acute care setting Understand the aging process and feel comfortable working in a home environment Car is required CareAtHome welcomes inquiries and looks forward to having the opportunity to meet you.
