The physicians, dentists, nurses and other volunteer health care professionals at Healing Hands Ministries Medical & Dental Clinic give unselfishly of their time to provide top quality care to the working poor families and uninsured children of the community. No one is turned away because of their inability to pay. H o p e f o r t h e s p i r i t, h e a l t h f o r t h e b o d y

T h e Fa i t h o f a M u s t a r d S e e d Planting Hope. Community-based Healing Hands Ministries Medical & Dental Clinic is the model program of a need nurtured by faith. Founding executive director Janna Gardner went from corporate nurse to elementary school nurse in a neighborhood near her children s schools. It was an eye-opening revelation of extreme heart-breaking poverty in her own backyard. Knowing she couldn t turn back, she galvanized her community with a passion never witnessed in Lake Highlands. Today, thousands of individuals and families have experienced hope, health and life-saving change. The Clinic is growing exponentially and continues to grow daily as the need increases. There are so many stories of success, and yet, still much need. Transforming Lives.

S t r o n g l y Ro o t e d w i t h G i v i n g H e a r t s As a grassroots, volunteer-driven communitybased organization, Healing Hands Ministries Medical & Dental Clinic is a beacon of hope providing reliable, efficient, low-cost medical and dental care to the neediest of these in a nurturing, welcoming environment. Healing Hands Ministries opened its doors in 2007. Friends call it a modern day barn-raising miracle, where a host of individuals and church partners built the clinic from the ground up, generously giving time, money and expertise. It is a beacon of light to needy families a visible light, offering hope to the seemingly invisible uninsured. Healing Hands Ministries is located in the heart of Dallas with the highest density of Section 8 Housing, where 60 percent of the children are on free/reduced lunch, a key poverty indicator. They are the working poor many on the brink of homelessness. The clinic is the medical home for uninsured patients, helping them avoid expensive area hospital ER visits for primary care. Here patients receive comprehensive medical and dental services including pediatric care, well-woman care, diabetes education, laboratory services, asthma education, prescription drug benefits, monthly immunizations, social service referral, and specialty care clinics such as orthopedics and rheumatology. Healing Hands collaborates with other community providers to coordinate referrals outside its scope of services including extensive diagnostic testing and surgical services. Healing Hands Ministries receives no government funding and relies solely on community volunteers, donors and businesses. It is a health care model that takes no tax-payer dollars, yet saves tax-payers millions.

Growing Healthy Families Healing Hands Ministries has created a legacy of hope. It s a place where dignity is given back and each patient is treated with respect and genuine, quality care. Families are empowered. Parents don t have to choose between rent or medicine or which child will be treated. Mothers and fathers can be treated, too, and receive the care they need without compromise. Healing Hands Ministries builds trust with families by providing reliable, effective, efficient health care services to manage their acute and chronic diseases. To keep a lamp burning, we must keep putting oil in it. - Mother Teresa Keeping the Vision Alive and Growing Healing Hands Ministries Medical & Dental Clinic exists to provide an abundant life to all people physically and spiritually. But we can t do it alone. We need your help to keep the vision alive and growing. Few things have the power to change our world more than the act of giving. Every gift, large or small, provides an opportunity for you to be the hands of Christ to uninsured families. My life has been enriched by helping me have a healthy baby after suffering two losses." - Diana Martinez, HEALING HANDS PATIENT My wife and I have been volunteering as medical interpreters at Healing Hands Ministries, and we absolutely love it. It is wonderful to see the care and love shown to the patients by the staff, volunteer doctors and nurses, and by other medical professionals. Likewise, we see the gratitude expressed by the patients who were helped at Healing Hands. Healing Hands clinic is truly a God-send ministry, and we feel privileged to be a part of it. -Delia and Edgar Beltrán, HEALING HANDS MEDICAL INTERPRETERS In Matthew the Lord said, Follow me. Keep your eyes on me. This is my way to minister and follow him. -Larry Gray, M.D., HEALING HANDS VOLUNTEER PHYSICIAN Donating to meet the needs of those in my neighborhood is a demonstration of my faith and love of God. I know I can make a significant difference in my own neighborhood. I know the stewardship of Healing Hands Ministries and see the benefits it provides first hand.
