EDUCATION & TRAINING C-perative Educatin - The cllege ffers a three year c-perative cadet training prgram cmbining the training listed belw and c-p sea time. A diplma is granted t graduates wh successfully cmplete the required curses and c-p sea time. Althugh sme Internatinal c-ps may be available, ur primary surce f c-p sea time is abard vessels sailing the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway. Marine Emergency Duties Training Cadets will learn t fight fires, perate lifebats and rafts, and care fr injured persnnel thrugh MED s (STCW Basic Safety, Prficiency in Survival Craft, Advanced Fire Fighting, and Marine First Aid Curses). There is a lack f Internet access and cell phne access is unreliable. Expect t spend at least fur hurs per day wrking n yur lg bk. This is in additin t yur n-duty shifts.
